Pay It Forward

Donation Program

A community-supported initiative where you can help donate a service to someone in need, and I will match that donation, reaching out to one of the listed partners below.

Together, we will provide access to care, confidence, and dignity for those who would otherwise never receive it.

Why I created this program

One of the reasons I entered this industry has always been for more than just hair. Salons have long been a space for conversation, self-care, and a way of helping people feel beautiful and seen. When I opened my own business, I wanted to use that platform intentionally. To create services that bring moments of calm, grounding, and confidence to my clients and our community.

Some of that work shows up in my service menu with low-stimulation or silent appointments, or even through Color Analysis, which gives clients clarity and tools that they can carry with them for life. But I kept thinking about the people who can't afford these supportive, healing experiences.

I wanted to help them, too, while still keeping my business afloat and supporting my family.

That's where the Pay It Forward program came to life.

Generosity taking shape, one pin at a time

With every donation, a small thrifted pin gets added to the Luna Loft Pay It Forward Frame---I like to think of it as our community's growing "constellation" of kindness. If someone donates during their appointment, they get to pick the pin they want and place it in the frame. If donations are made online, I will place a pin myself for each donation. It's a simple, visual reminder that even the smallest acts stack up into something powerful.

Over time, I hope the collection of pins becomes a bright, hope-filled display of what our community can accomplish together.

About Knox Pride

"First known as the East Tennessee Equality Council (Inc.) founded in 2006, we have grown beyond an annual celebration. The Knox Pride Center has allowed us to expand our mission as educators, communicators, and representatives of our community through our community and outreach and events we facilitate.

Our Knox Pride Center is place for people to find a home base in the Knoxville LGBTQIA + community and beyond. We have resources, referrals, and services. Plus, we host events, and meetings, and allow other groups to come to use our space as a gathering center for their cause. Since opening our doors in October 2021, the space is here for people to learn more about our queer community, participate in a variety of gender-affirming care and life skill support, utilize our food pantry, or shop at our Thriftique."
